ICF Designer

Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026

ICF Designer is run by Jeremy James Chisholm of Queenstown, New Zealand ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using ICF Designer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account

An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and give us accurate details. Each person may hold one free account; creating extra accounts to get around plan limits is not allowed. You are responsible for what is done under your account.

Your projects

The drawings, designs and project details you put into ICF Designer stay yours. You let us store and process them to run the service for you, to keep backups, and to check that the software works correctly. We do not sell them or show them to other customers. Our privacy page explains the rest.

Our software and content

ICF Designer, including its software, calculations, rules, drawings, page designs, wording and the pricing and product data it holds, belongs to us and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own building projects under your plan. You may not:

The ICF product names and brands shown in the app belong to their owners.

What the outputs are

ICF Designer is a design and estimating tool. Its results depend on the information you enter, so check them before you rely on them.

Plans and payment

Paid plans are charged in New Zealand dollars through Stripe, at the price shown when you buy. Monthly plans renew until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal. We may change prices or plans for future periods and will tell you before a change affects you.

Suspending or closing accounts

You can stop using ICF Designer at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk.

Liability

We work hard to make ICF Designer accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If you use ICF Designer for a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law says cannot be excluded.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell signed-in users about significant changes. New Zealand law applies, and the courts of New Zealand decide any dispute.
