    Read this before quoting a number

    • Axial is a nominal squash comparison. It does not include slenderness, minimum eccentricity, or second-order effects.
    • Out-of-plane shear is a matched raw-capacity comparison. Both values exclude shear-reinforcement contribution; the masonry value uses zero beneficial axial compression. Project shear demand and both systems’ in-plane shear remain outside the utilisation screen.
    • Deflection and serviceability are not checked. This standalone comparison does not evaluate project actions or utilisation.
    • Bar position is idealised. A real Nudura form constrains placement to its web nodes.
    • Two curtains add steel. They use roughly twice the vertical reinforcing steel; the gain is not produced by merely staggering the same steel.
    • In-plane seismic capacity is outside this comparison. The masonry capacity-design multipliers are reserved for reviewed future work.
